Emma and Dan | Family Portrait

I faintly remember this thing called sunlight that fell upon our land a few weeks ago, when it felt too hot to be outdoors and an ice-cream made a suitable lunch.

It was on one of those days that I joined forces with Emma and Dan's growing family for a day out at Padley Gorge - to capture some candid family photos before the bump becomes a baby.

The little lady was a delightful little pickle - determined to climb onto every single rock and jump off each one in turn: there are quite a lot of rocks at Padley Gorge. It was a good exercise in relinquishing control and seeing what emerged.

I'm looking forward to meeting the new little person in a few weeks - when hopefully summer will have come back too.
